"Why We’re Polarized"

Updated: Jun 6, 2023

Published in 2020, Why We’re Polarized is extremely fitting for the current moment (as you might imagine). It’s both a New York Times Bestseller and Wall Street Journal Bestseller. The author, Ezra Klein, is not a politician, pushing his own agenda - he’s a journalist, political commentator, policy analyst, editor and columnist at the Washington Post, and an expert in politics. He cites numerous sources for his research, which covers psychology, history, journalism, neuroscience, sociology, sports, and even mindfulness practices. He demonstrates how each of us - despite our relative insignificance in the grand scheme of things - plays a role in shaping our culture, and therefore, our politics.

Why We’re Polarized is easy and fun to read. To me, it felt cathartic to make sense of what is going on. I see the world - and myself - in a new light. This book is educational, enlightening, fascinating, sobering and hopeful. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!
